James, start blogging and be disciplined about it
It has taken me a fair amount of time to get to a place where I feel like I can share and add value through public content creation. My chosen distribution method; blogging on WordPress.
One of my core beliefs is that everything we do must add value to someone else and knowledge should be captured, built on and shared. However, to be perfectly honest, I have not been living up to this, and I have found it has been weighing on my mind. You see, over the past three years of stepping into entrepreneurship I have found that my rate of learning and experience has increased to a level I could never have projected and imagined. If someone were to ask me how long I have been doing this? (‘this’ is many things). I would answer, “almost four years.” I would be feeling something entirely different, though. I honestly feel like it has been WAY longer since I first stepped out into the void and started actively trying to craft my path. The velocity at which I have been accumulating knowledge and experience has truly been mind-blowing and something I am grateful for.
Something that has been burning me over the past couple of years is that I have not been documenting lessons I have been learning over the past LONG 4 years since founding an ed-tech business in South Africa. So, finally, I have committed myself to looking back, capturing the key learnings and experiences we have had thus far and sharing them publicly for anyone who might find it useful, as well as capturing any new learnings and experiences that I may think worthwhile.
I am sure many more core subjects or themes will emerge as I write and document more, but the ones I need to start writing about are as follows;
1. Founding, growing and running an ed-tech startup in South Africa –
I co-founded and currently lead an education technology startup: Advantage Learning Technologies (Pty) Ltd with divisions; AdvantageLearn.com, Pango and The Green Door. I will attempt to document my learnings, challenges, helpful bits and bobs et Cetera.

2. Being a father –
I am a new Father, and boy is it interesting! I am excited to document some of the experiences, thoughts, and resources I acquire as I go along.

3. Comments on education technology (ed tech) through an emerging market lens –
I love and am passionate about education and more specifically, the education technology space. I have realized I must start getting my thoughts and opinions down so that I can capture my thinking at a point in time. I would like to look back and see how my thoughts and ideas in this area grow and mature, hopefully, over the years.
